A few minutes. What to expect, what's helpful to have handy, and how we think about prep.
What you bring into the room shapes the plan you walk out with.
What they're starting with, what they've tried so far, and what's working or not.
Target scores, target schools, timeline. We'll help you figure out what's realistic.
Test choice, program length, how we'd structure the work. We'll be specific.
Every student works 1:1 with a dedicated tutor who stays with them through the whole program.
We start with a diagnostic — figuring out where the real bottlenecks are. Sometimes it's content gaps. Sometimes it's timing and strategy. Sometimes it's the wrong test. The plan comes from the diagnosis, not the other way around.
Franklin Yard students vs. the national average.
Varsity football and lacrosse, heavy course load — Sam needed a tutor who could work around his schedule and speak his language. His tutor used sports analogies to teach strategy, and the whole family ended up working with him.
Accepted to Amherst College.
Liv had tried another tutor before switching to Franklin Yard. Over 10 months of focused 1:1 work, she built the strategies and confidence that moved her score — and her mom says those skills will carry through college.
Franklin Yard built a program around their daughter's specific strengths and weaknesses — not a generic curriculum. The tailored approach led to a 300+ point SAT improvement.
We'll recommend a specific program and tutor, and you decide if you want to move forward.
We'll say so. You're welcome to reach back out whenever timing changes.
We'll tell you that directly and point you somewhere that might work better.
Looking forward to it.
